Wedding Centerpiece Ideas That Wow

If you need some wedding centerpiece ideas in planning your wedding reception the first thing you have to do is decide what kind of look and feel you want. There is something for anything you might come up with. All of them can be beautiful and can express your personality and your style.

Fruit makes a great showing used on the guest’s tables. It is fresh looking, colorful and fragrant. These are some of the reasons that it is a wonderful centerpiece idea. You could use oranges, limes, lemons, mangoes, cumquats, tangerines, pomegranates, star fruit, kiwis, etc. Well you get the idea. The fruit should have good color and no blemishes.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Stack fruit pyramid style on a glass dish with a pedestal, such as a cake plate, tuck some greenery into the spaces between the fruit or lay some large ferns or leaves on the plate under the fruit. Flowers tucked into the spaces look fabulous, especially Hibiscus blooms (they only last for one day, but don’t need to be in water.)
  • If you want a great tropical look there are some fabulous flowers to choose from. Big bouquets of orchids, Birds of Paradise, Heliconias and Glorioso are some of the flowers that fit the bill. Talk to your florist about some different ways to present them.(like putting Heliconias upside down in a tall, clear glass vase.) That’s a great wedding centerpiece idea and is not ordinary.
  • Gladioli can be arranged in a long, low way so as not to block your guests view. Gardenias can floated in a beautiful along with tea lights. Lillies of all sorts are stunning lined up on a table, one to a container.
  • Potted plants are a good look and there are numerous kinds. Strawberry plants with fruit and blooms(wow), Bromeliads, Amaryllis, Caladiums, Gardenias, Sweet-Scented Jasmine and Palm tree bonsais, just to mention a few.
  • Last but not least, don’t forget just foliage without the flowers. Use small palm fronds, Ferns, Croton (very colorful) and my personal favorite, Sea grape leaves. Write the couples names with a gold pen on one of the leaves.

Find a florist that will take your wishes into consideration or maybe you could do some of these things I’ve mentioned yourself. I know whatever wedding centerpiece idea you come up with will look beautiful on your special day.
